Be recognised for the professional you are
The Care Professional Register is open to all Care Professionals working in the UK. Registration takes minutes and lasts a lifetime of professional identity.
What registration gives you.
A verified mark of professionalism
Your entry on the Care Professional Register shows employers, commissioners, and the public that you have committed to professional standards. It is verifiable, searchable, and yours to be proud of.
A unique registration PIN and digital badge
Every registrant receives a unique PIN and a digital registration badge. Use them on your CV, your email signature, or anywhere you want to demonstrate your professional standing.
Recognition that follows you
Your registration stays with you regardless of where you work or who you work for. It belongs to you - not your employer.
Part of something bigger
Registration makes you part of a growing community of Care Professionals who are collectively building the case for the profession to be properly recognised. Every name on the register strengthens that case.
The Care Professional Register has been assessed by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA) - the body that oversees accredited registers in the UK - and has met its Public Interest Standard (Standard 1).
This means the PSA has independently confirmed that establishing the register is in the public interest. It is a mark of the register’s credibility and our commitment to transparency and good governance.

In England, care workers are not currently required to be registered or regulated in the way they are in Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland. That gap has consequences.

The Care Professional Register is open to all Care Professionals working in the UK, including those employed by a care provider and those who are self-employed.
Please note: Self-employed Care Professionals based in the devolved regions of the UK (Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland) are currently unable to register, as mandatory registration already applies in those regions. If you are unsure whether you are eligible, please contact us.
Registration is straightforward, and takes just a few minutes. Take the first step towards professional recognition today.
