Introducing the Care Professional Organisation

A new name to strengthen your voice

We are proud to announce that NACAS is becoming the Care Professional Organisation.

Care professionals play a vital role in supporting individuals, families, and communities across the UK. For many years, NACAS has supported carers and promoted the value of the profession. As the organisation has evolved, so too has our ambition.

The Care Professional Organisation exists to champion the recognition of professional carers through a trusted register, giving them the credibility, a voice, and the status their work deserves.

We envision a future where every care professional is seen, recognised, and respected for the skilled work they do.

Your profession. Recognised.

Why we are changing our name

The new name clearly signals what we stand for:

  • Recognition of care as a profession.
  • A stronger collective voice for care professionals.
  • A trusted professional register that supports standards and status.

This rebrand marks the next stage in our journey.

What does the new logo represent?

The Care Professional Organisation logo has taken influence from the NACAS logo. We continue to represent all care professionals. We see the linked people as a collective, standing shoulder-to-shoulder to support one another.

What this means for members

If you hold one of our memberships, you do not need to do anything. Your membership remains active and continues to provide the same benefits and support.

The change is about strengthening how we represent you, not changing the commitment we have made to you.

Your membership will be automatically transferred to any new system. You will be contacted soon about any access changes that might occur.

Rest assured, our focus remains the same:

  • Supporting care professionals.
  • Raising standards across the sector.
  • Advancing professional recognition.

What this means for those on the voluntary Care Professional Register

You registration does not change. The Care Professional Register website will be merged with the Care Professional Organisation website.

Continuing our commitment to professional recognition

The Care Professional Organisation exists to support the development of care as a recognised profession.

Professional registration plays an important role in this.

Through our register, we help care professionals:

  • Demonstrate their professionalism.
  • Show commitment to standards.
  • Build trust with employers, commissioners, and the public.

Our aim is simple:

To support a future where every care professional is seen, recognised, and respected for the skilled work they do.

Looking ahead

This new identity marks the beginning of an exciting chapter.

Over the coming months we will continue to expand our work to support professional registration and advocate for recognition.

Together, we can build a future where care professionals are recognised as the skilled professionals they are.

Your profession. Recognised.
