Free Legal Advice
CPO offers free legal advice covering work-related issues faced by an individual Care Professionals with a Gold membership. We have also teamed up with a great partner, who can assist with immigration issues. Another partner can offer CPO members free legal advice in the form of a clinic, on matters such as employment law issues, rights at work, health and safety at work and more. All members receive access to this benefit and the level of support increases from Bronze, to Silver to Gold.
Support for Legal Issues and Membership Lead-In Period.
CPO is not a trade union. However, as part of our Gold member benefits, we provide access to free legal advice once a member has completed a three-month membership lead-in period.
This lead-in period is standard practice across professional bodies and membership organisations. It ensures that support is provided fairly and sustainably, and that advice is offered on matters that arise during membership, rather than on issues that pre-date joining.
The lead-in period also allows CPO to provide timely, effective guidance, as early advice is often critical in legal and professional matters. This approach helps us maintain high standards of support for all members, while ensuring that resources are used appropriately and responsibly.
